The Foundry Materials

Our Commitment to Quality

Foundry only works with quality metals and stones, which are carefully handled by our talented team of designers and craftsmen.

Each Foundry piece is designed to be timeless in design and quality, to make sure it lasts a long time so you can wear it all the time.

We work with a wide range of materials to ensure that there is always a Foundry piece suited for any occasion, be it a formal dinner or a casual day out. Our pieces typically fall into one of the following:

Gold Vermeil

Pure or sterling silver dipped in a layer of 14K or 18K gold. These pieces are more affordable but are still of a quality and look good enough for everyday wear. Pieces made with gold vermeil are largely considered to be demi-fine jewelry.

Sterling Silver
A cool-toned alloy that is also used for making fine jewelry. Exactly 92.5% of the alloy must be made of pure silver for it to be considered sterling silver, as any more will cause the metal to be less durable

14K Gold
14K is the minimum purity required for a gold piece to be considered fine jewelry. It is known for its durability and relative affordability. It is also the most popular kind of gold used for engagement rings

18K Gold
Higher gold content (compared to 14K gold) gives it a richer color that is closer to pure gold and also makes it more suitable for people prone to skin allergies.
